Database Analyst/Developer
Kansas City Repertory Theatre and Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts are seeking a full-time Database Analyst/Developer to be shared between the two organizations. This position manages and organizes electronic data according to corporate data administration policies and standards in order to ensure that the information needs of the users are met. Must manage the execution of the available technologies; assist the different departments within the organization in utilizing their database systems; and make customizations to the applications according to business processes and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Write and understand SQL statements, stored procedures, functions and views using industry best practices for security and efficiency.
• Work on database and code management, review and documentation.
• Work with end users to gather requirements for data pulls and reports.
• Provide end user training and open trouble tickets when additional support is needed.
• Create, develop and manage internal procedures for business processes within the Tessitura system.
• Manage NCOA updates quarterly; import any needed constituent records as needed; write procedures to accommodate various data appends (such as email addresses).
• Ensure data integrity on multiple database systems.
Skills and Specifications:
• Strong understanding of relational databases, preferably SQL Server 2008 R2.
• Ability to use SQL, T-SQL, SQL Server Management Studio and Microsoft Office Applications.
• Knowledge of SSRS and InfoMaker report writing.
• Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information.
• Ability to determine the interrelationships between solutions and requirements.
• Ability to think analytically and problem solve.
• Ability to make effective decisions in utilizing database.
Qualifications:
• B.S. in Computer Science (or 2 year degree with DBA Certification).
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience with MS SQL and SQL Server Profiler.
• Knowledge or experience with Tessitura, InfoMaker and Visual Basic is strongly preferred!
• Candidate must possess excellent project management and time management skills.
• Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.

Accounts Payable Associate
Kansas City Repertory Theatre is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Associate to be responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing and coordinating assigned activities within the accounts payable function to ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Timely processing and payment of invoices;
• Organize and maintain accurate vendor files;
• Obtain approvals for expenditures from appropriate parties;
• Match invoices with packing slips, determine/verify coding to appropriate expense accounts, and
• Enter into the accounts payable Financial Edge program;
• Respond to vendor inquiries including vendor statement reconciliations;
• Answer staff inquiries regarding invoices and/or invoice procedures;
• Maintain accurate records of contracted labor, prepaid expenses, and credit card statements;
• Prepare and process 1099s; and
• Perform Accounts Payable month-end reconciliations;
Requirements include:
• An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent accounts payable experience;
• 2-4 years experience in full-cycle accounts payable;
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with the Financial Edge or similar Windows based accounting software;
• Meticulous attention to detail;
• Excellent organizational and problem solving skills;
• Ability to accomplish numerous tasks and responsibilities with poise and composure to meet deadlines;
• Ability to pass criminal background check.

Internships and Job Shadowing
Internships
Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Internship Program is focused on creating opportunities for collaborative relationships between high school and college-aged students and the KC Rep's experienced theatre professionals. This program will use a combination of hands-on experience, professional training and mentorships to introduce students to the skills required to become the next generation of artists and arts administrators. We are committed to encouraging and guiding students through the transition from student to professional and tailor each internship experience to the current needs of our organization and to the experience and objectives of the intern.
Arts Management Internships are designed for candidates who intend to make arts administration their profession. Intern schedules are negotiable, but would typically fall between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday- Friday. Creative and Production interns are flexible and would include evening and weekend hours.
Internships are unpaid but students are encouraged to apply for college credit through their respective universities.
All Interns will be provided with hands-on, real world experience in a professional theatre environment. Interns will be full members of their departments, requiring them to attend appropriate departmental and staff meetings. The KC Rep Theatre's staff will provide each intern with training, guidance, and professional knowledge. Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Job Shadowing Program gives local students an opportunity to shadow a member of KC Rep's professional staff for a day or an event as a slice-of-work life view into a career in the theatre or arts administration. Interested students need to be recommended by a member of their high school teaching staff and signed parental permission is required.
